Gainesville is finally getting some recognition as a destination city and not just as a college town!

A recent article from the travel section of the Lexington Herald touted Gainesville as an amazing community with “breathtaking parks and a vibrant metropolitan scene,” and it is always nice to see Gainesville get the recognition it deserves.

Aldi, a discount grocery chain originally founded in Germany and now based out of Illinois, has received approval from the city to build two locations in Gainesville—one at Northwest 13th Street and 39th Avenue, and one proposed for the Butler North expansion to Butler Plaza.
