More restaurants opening around town

gvilleveatsA slew of new restaurants will be opening soon in Gainesville, all over town and sure to satisfy a variety of cravings.

Chipotle’s third location in Gainesville will be opening in a new strip center on 13th street in May 2016, next to a Mattress Firm and Sports Clips male hair salon.

World of Beer is going to take over the former Hooter’s location on 34th Street. The Tampa-based chain will offer a bar and full-service restaurant, and hopes to be open by April 2016.

By mid-November, BurgerQuE will be opening near the UF campus in the former Maui Grill location. It specializes in burgers, BBQ and beer, and the restaurant will include outdoor patio space.

Tamal, a local tamale shop, will be opening on South Main Street and will offer takeout as well as limited seating.

Also opening soon, is a new Indian restaurant called Twisted Peacock and a hot dog and sandwich shop called Swampy’z.
