A new grocer is coming to town!

Aldi, a discount grocery chain originally founded in Germany and now based out of Illinois, has received approval from the city to build two locations in Gainesville—one at Northwest 13th Street and 39th Avenue, and one proposed for the Butler North expansion to Butler Plaza.

The 13th Street location plans to be over 17,000 square feet of grocery goodness.

While the development plans are still in the works, there are currently no timelines for construction or anticipated store openings, but more information should be available in the next few months.

Stay tuned!
