The University of Florida Concert Choir, led by conductor Will Kesling, will take the stage in Carnegie Hall in New York City on December 19th. This prestigious performance, called "A Grand and Festive Choral Christmas Gala", is part of MidAmerica Productions' 41st annual concert.
The trip lasts four nights and provides an unforgettable experience not just for viewers but for the talented singers! The UF President's Office is covering part of the cost for the UF choir students, but members of the Gainesville Master Chorale are shouldering their own costs. Kesling believes in the value of investment, emphasizing that when people invest something, they will make an effort to make the entire experience as great as it can be.
Carnegie Hall's legendary acoustics and rich history hold a special place in Will Kesling's heart. Before this grand trip to New York, Kesling will also lead a 75th annual local Christmas concert on December 3rd called Sounds of the Season. Under Kesling's guidance, this event has earned the Gold Audio Visual Arts (AVA) Digital Award for the past two years!
The UF Concert Choir and the Gainesville Master Chorale are surely enjoying this holiday season with beautiful music.
