Celebration Pointe has been one of the most anticipated mixed-use developments in Gainesville. Portions of the development are completed, such as the Bass Pro Shop, which went up in November of 2016. And now, many new restaurants and businesses recently announced their plan to be open in time for the grand opening of the first phase of Celebration Pointe's Main Street, known as City Walk, this Fall.
A major opening will be that of Rascal Flatts Bar and Grill, a "Rascal Flatts-themed restaurant serving food picked out by the band," that will also serve as a "venue for live music and other events." It will be similar in concept to that of Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville.
Furthermore, the current owner of Liquid Ginger in downtown Gainesville is planning to sell the restaurant to the manager there, and now has plans of his own to open a new restaurant in Celebration Pointe.
Miller's Ale House, Reggae Shack Café, and Kilwin's Quality Confections will also all be opening at Celebration Pointe this year.
Aside from the eateries moving into Celebration Pointe, the Park Avenue shops, located on NW 39th Avenue near Santa Fe College, is soon going to be home to Taco Del Mar, Bangkok Square, and Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins. Furthermore Bahama Breeze Island Grill will soon be opening in Butler Plaza, and it will be the 16th Bahama Breeze location in Florida.
And, in case you can't get enough craft beer, Cypress and Grove is a new craft brewery that will be opening this month in the old ice plant on the corner of, you guessed it, Cyprus and Grove.
