Get ready! Savvy & Company has just added some exciting new technology to their website to make your home and property search even better. Savvy has partnered with HowLoud Inc., a company based out of California that uses their patent-pending SoundscoreTM technology to give a noise rating to a given property.
A SoundscoreTM rating “aggregates environmental noise caused by vehicle traffic, airplane traffic and local sources,” which includes restaurants, schools, retail, and more. With noise being one of the most common complaints to cities’ complaint call lines, SoundscoreTM allows a potential buyer to know what they are getting into before they buy.
SoundscoreTM uses the Federal Highway Authority’s Traffic Noise Model to determine vehicle traffic noise. And while this model is mandated by the state of California, HowLoud is the first company to use it on a massive scale while making the results available to consumers and businesses. The technology for determining airport noise and local sources is proprietary, but also operate on a massive scale.
A SoundscoreTM rating will be a number between zero and 100 that signifies how loud (low score) or quiet (high score) a location is. HowLoud licenses SoundscoreTM to real estate companies, like Savvy, for them to provide SoundscoreTM ratings on their websites.
Savvy & Company is the first real estate company in Florida and one of the first in the country to take full advantage of this technology, which is good news for all you house hunters out there. Savvy’s website will allow users to search and view properties based on noise.
Plus, HowLoud Inc. and SoundscoreTM have been featured in Yahoo!Tech, Digital Trends, Gizmodo, Computerworld and more.
