New local brewery opening early 2016

September 8, 2015

beerA new craft brewery will be opening in Gainesville early next year at 1001 NW 4th Street. The 16,000-square-foot space will house Rainstorm Brewing, which will include a 5,500-square-foot brewhouse, as well as a 2,000-square-foot tasting room.

Kegs, pints and growlers will be offered, filled with a porter, stout, IPA or wheat beer, among others on the initial menu rollout.

The brewery is being opened by Patrick Burger and Gary Heil, local home brewers who are turning their passion into business.

The craft beer industry is booming, and with two other local breweries in Gainesville, Burger and Heil had a bit of inspiration for their business model.
