Horizon Hospitality Management is considering a mixed-use project in downtown Gainesville including a 12-story Embassy Suites and a Ruths Chris Steakhouse.
The proposal also includes 15,000 square feet of office space, which could potentially be used by Shadow Health, an educational software company.
The site under consideration is known as "City Lot 10" on SW 1st Avenue & SW 2nd Street. Prior to the 2008 economic downturn, this area had been earmarked for condo development.
